Note: The number of vent slots needed is calculated per millimeter of the requested ridge vent length or wall cladding length to ensure even distribution of ventilation.

Terminology

NFVA (Net Free Ventilation Area): NFVA is the total unobstructed open area of a vent that allows air to pass through. It is typically measured in square meters and is used to determine the required ventilation for a space.

Vapor Barrier: A vapor barrier is a material used to resist the diffusion of moisture through walls, ceilings, and floors. It helps prevent condensation and moisture damage within the building envelope, improving energy efficiency and indoor air quality.

Note: Linked Group provides ventilated flashing systems that are punched and folded to meet specific ventilation requirements. We offer various sizes and shapes that accompany visual aesthetics and functional ability; some ventilation calculations can be met using two-piece flashing systems.
